Just announced...Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks will be headlining at this year's Snowmass Chili Pepper and Brew Fest. What a great way to kick off the summer with this amazing musical duo, international chili and micro breweries. Tickets will be on sale soon.

In the last 7 days, it has snowed over 3 feet of snow and it keeps coming. Looking outside my window I can see at least 6 inches on the railing and it is still a white out. There is still one more week for Aspen and Snowmass Mountain. Aspen Highlands will stay open till April 25th. Come for a last minute vacation getaway.

This Sunday, March 25th, at the base of Aspen Mountain PEPPER will play in the last Aspen Snowmass Bud Light Hi-Fi Concert Series.

The clocks have been rolled forward and the days are longer, so...it's time for extended lift hours across Aspen Snowmass four mountains! Below are details for our extended days on each of the four mountains. The first one starts on Buttermilk for St. Patrick's Day.

BUTTERMILK

• Date: March 17th (Thursday)
• Lifts: Summit Express
• Hours: Lift serviced skiing until 6:00pm
• Theme: St. Patrick’s Day
• Party: Cliffhouse until 6:00pm then moves to Bumps
• Special: Terrain Park remains open until 6:00pm

Aspen Fashion Week 2011 starts today with a Off the Rack a Fashion and Society Dialogue at 2:30 pm. The week will host a number of fashionista events featuring JC de Castelbajac and Rossignol, KJUS, Heidiskis, Dannemann - Pure, Obermeyer, Hallie Sara Designs and more. There will be parties at Casa Tua and the Sky Hotel. It is sure to be a fashion delight.

Just announced today, Jazz Aspen Snowmass announced a few of the great great acts coming to Aspen Snowmass this summer. The June Jazz Festival will feature a debut from Jennifer Hudson and Sheryl Crow, which will preform her newest "100 Miles From Memphis" tour.

Today was the first day for the Colorado Freeride Series in Aspen Snowmass. Skiers, Snowboarders, and Tele Skiers all compete in who can huck the biggest cliffs in style. The competition is held on Snowmass Mountain. Today and tomorrow are at the Hanging Valley Wall cliffs and Sunday they will be competing on the Burn Cliffs / Rock Island.

This week Aspen Film hosts a slew of movies that are up for academy nominations. Most of these movies haven't been released to the general public and have only been previewed in New York and Los Angeles. This is a once in a life time opportunity to see these movies before they are released. With the tickets being only $13 this is an inexpensive treat for a night out.
