Very clean and comfortable room. Nice linens, bathrobes, and soaps Friendly front staff and waiters. Daily breakfast had variety and great views of mountains from dining room. No vehicle needed as shopping, eating, and shuttle are at mall across the road. Slopes a short walk from lodge. Good value for price.

The note at the beginning of these reviews states that the reviews are from anonymous guests of Aspen Snowmass, humm, I saw that each one had the guest name attached.
This was the first time we have stayed (IN) Snowmass, but we come here to ski every year. We paid better than $400 per night, if this vacation wasn't already prepaid as a gift from my wife. I would have driven back to Carbondale and stayed there like I normally do. That Super 8 there is Cleaner, Much Better maintained than this place. The constant dripping in the ceiling that we were told was pipes thawing.. Really?? The T-stat didn't work, Fridge didn't cool and the TV and Microwave couldn't be used at the same time. The Houskeeping staff were very friendly, Mant. guy were great, front desk were so so. Breakfast was good each day. Location was great, but not worth the room rate for the old condition. However the staff kept telling me it would be better next year because it was being remodeled, Thumbs Down! Super 8 for us

What a cramped little old room which I paid 300.00 a night for..A complete rip off for the quality of the room....They could at least replace the theromostat in the room which did not work, the carpet was old, the TV was 15 years old, for this price all of this stuff should be upgraded.

I stayed the prior week in Crested Butte. Stayed slope side, for less per night and it had 3 bedrooms and 2 baths......Snowmass should lower their fees on these rooms until they get the quality up. This was a $50.00 a night room at best...
It has been a $50.00 a night room for years.....If I were the management I would be embarassed to charge this much for a worn out room.

I had reserved a wheelchair accessible room and the first room they has us in was accessible in the fact that there were no stairs but that was it. The bathroom door was way too narrow for someone in a wheelchair and I was barely able to move around the room. They did upgrade us to a more accessible room but it still wasn't perfect. The main door had 1 step or you could go around to the deck and in through the sliding door, but the key didn't work there and they only shoveled the deck if you called and asked. The ramps they have on the walkways are certainly not up to ADA code, very steep and narrow. They really should not advertise as being wheelchair accessible, they are just asking for a lawsuit.
I was also shocked that we had to pay to park at our own hotel. We also had to pay for WiFi. Here in NH you get parking and WiFi for $50 a night

I have stayed here before. The rooms are getting run down. The pipes clanged all night long keeping us awake. The thermostat did not respond and we had to sleep with the window open. There were no robes in the room and I called 3 times before they appeared. No one advised us where we could store skiis, although I knew from previous years. In prior years, mountain conditions for the day and weather forcast for the week could be found at the front desk, neither was the case this year. the hot tub was not in working order for the first three days of our stay, with no explaination in advance from the staff. The best part is the loacation. I only had one breakfast at the lodge and it was of marginal quality. I attend a meeting at Snowmass yearly and I will probably look for other accomodations in the future as there are other properties only steps away.

I almost forgot to mention that our thermostat didn't work either. So ironic that after an entire year we had the same problem I read about in someone else's review. The only the hotel had going right was its location!

[Note: This review was edited for length]

Our stay was somewhat of a disaster- it would have been a complete loss if not for the fantastic skiing conditions.

Problems:

1. Our room was so incredibly hot when we returned from our evening out and our thermostat unresponsive that we had to crack our window to make it bearable. We were right by the elevator and with it being New Years Eve, we had to deal with loud noise until well into the next morning. The next day we asked the front desk for help with the room's climate control and to be fair, it was fixed.
2. It did not help that the bed was extremely uncomfortable and we have had better pillows on camping trips.
3. Very low water pressure and sometimes no hot water for showers.

The rank and file workers were nice enough but the management was invisible and clearly not on top of things when it came to our dining experiences.

I stayed at this property about 15 years ago and remember it being much nicer. The whole property is in need of a face lift.

Location is great. Staff was friendly. Breakfast buffet was better than average.
Guestroom average with comfortable bed and ok linens. Housekeepers did a good job. Clean with plenty of heat and hot water. Value is in-line with rate for location.
